Before becoming a designer, I was a dancer. While competing across Europe, I discovered that although I loved performing, I was equally drawn to creating my own costumes. It wasn’t long before my designs began to attract attention, and fellow dancers started requesting custom pieces.

To further develop my skills and build a strong foundation in dancewear design, I graduated from the School for Design and Technology of Clothing, earning certification in color and silhouette analysis.

In 2004, I moved to the United States and began creating dancewear under the label Petra Designs. Since then, my Pro/Am clients have achieved remarkable success, including titles such as World Rhythm Pro/Am Champion. My designs have also received recognition in their own right—Petra Designs was named a finalist in the 2019 “Sparkle in the Spotlight” competition hosted by Rhinestones Unlimited.

In 2021, I was commissioned by Preciosa Crystals to create dresses showcasing their new rhinestone collection. My work has also been featured on television shows including You Can Dance and Dancing Dream.

In 2023, I returned to the Czech Republic, where I continue to work with clients around the world.
