Pre-made Dresses
Shipping Policy:
Though shipping methods may be adjusted based on communication and agreements between the client and Petra Designs, packages are typically sent via USPS with a tracking number provided.
Domestic shipping within the United States is free. International customers need to contact Petra Designs to place an order.
Petra Designs is not responsible for shipment and delivery delays caused by third-party shipping carriers. Once the order is delivered to a shipping carrier, the risk of loss or damage is transferred to the buyer.
Petra Designs insures all packages.
Refund / Exchange Policy:
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact Petra Designs within three-days of receiving the product. Refunds, exchanges or alterations may be available for unused, non-custom dresses.
Alterations may result in additional cost.
Return shipping and insurance is the responsibility of the buyer.
Petra Designs cannot refund or exchange any gown that has been worn or is not in its original condition with tags still attached.
Custom Orders
Placing an order and payment:
Custom orders generally last between 6 and 10 weeks to complete. Petra Designs does not guarantee the availability of rush production. However, in limited cases, rush production and delivery within 3 weeks will be subject to an additional fee of $1,000 per garment.
A 50% deposit of quoted price is required to receive a customized sketch and fabric samples. Garment production will begin after approval of the sketch and fabric samples, and after receiving buyer’s measurements.
Following approval, alterations or additions to the initial design are subject to additional charges and must be paid at the time of alteration or addition. Payment in full is required to obtain finished garment possession.
Measurements and Fittings:
For local orders, Petra can measure in-person at her studio. Long distance clients will receive instructions on how to correctly measure. Please follow the instructions carefully as incorrect measurement can result in wrong size of the garment and additional charges to correct the issues.
Generally one or two fittings are sufficient to finalize the dancewear. Local clients will receive their fittings in studio. Long-distance clients, Petra will provide instructions on how to fit the dress properly and the dress will be shipped. The client pays for shipping the dress for fittings.

There is no shipping charge for dresses sent to for a fitting and the final dress delivery, but the cost of any return shipping and insurance after fittings is the responsibility of the client.

Dress Rental
Rental Procedure:
To rent Petra Designs Dress, a client must complete and sign a rental contract. For out of town requests, clients will be allowed to “try on” the dress for the amount specified in the agreement. This amount includes shipping and insurance. After fitting, should the client decide not rent, the amount paid minus the shipping and insurance fee will be refunded to the customer.
Customer is responsible to ship the dress back by the date specified in the agreement.
For local requests, contact Petra to schedule a “try on” appointment.

Alterations
Alterations Procedure:
A minimum 50% deposit based on the garment’s price is required before any alterations to a buyer’s garment will begin. Petra Designs will provide buyer with the most accurate estimate possible for alterations, but the amount may increase based on the time and labor needed to complete the garment. Petra will notify buyer of this estimate prior to the alterations. Payment in full before the garment is returned.

Color Analysis
How is Color Analysis done?
During your color consultation, I will compare different color drapes to determine the warmth or coolness of your skin and will match coded color coordinates to your skin, hair and eyes to determine your unique color harmony. This computer-assisted process will result in your unique clothing color palette and personal recommendations for makeup colors.
What is included in your Color Analysis consultation?
The consultation in person takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours and consist of explanations of 4 basic seasons and their characteristics, color analysis, make up colors and make up application (optional) and guidance of how to use the color palette in building your wardrobe and selecting accessories and jewelry.
Personal style expression consultation can be also included in the session.
